Frustration

I am just so frustrated when I go online and look at various other bloggers. They have wonderful work but I feel that they cheat things when they are using electronic die cutting machines especially the cricuit. I love the designs and I guess I just would like to have access to some of the elements without having to buy yet another useless toy. I think that when you create something it should be created by hand and not with too much "machine" help. Like my scrap page, I did everything with folded paper punched shapes. I love the simplicity of it.

Love the flourishes on this scrap page and the fun flowers! For me, I tend to screw things up a lot (I can't tell you how many images I have restamped over the years!). So, if there is a machine that makes it goof-proof, I am usually up for it. (Esp. since I will find other ways to muck up the card anyway!)

I know, somehow the cutters feel cookie cutterish (though some people have done gorgeous things with that.) Still, I got a Cricut Expression for my bday & it sits there, because I can't afford pricey cartridges... I am looking forward to learning SCAL. That way I can share all the .scut files with everybody... I love the simplicity of your folds. I've never tried that & it looks so lovely and homespun... from the heart like that stunningly beautiful photo!
